Olajmunkás Sport Egyesület, in English: Oil Worker's Sport Association, was founded on 17 July 1945 and was known as Diosgyőri MTE from 1959 to 2011. Olajmunkás played in the Nemzeti Bajnokság II (the second level of Hungarian football) from 2012/13 to 2014/15, then spent two years in the third tier Nemzeti Bajnokság III before suffering relegation to the fourth tier Megyei Bajnokság in 2017. The club returned to the Nemzeti Bajnokság III after winning Group East of the 2018/19 Megyei Bajnokság, but in 2021 was relegated again to IV. Liga (fourth level of Hungarian football system).
The club is best known for József Gregor, who was topscorer of the 1965/66 Nemzeti Bajnokság I with 28 goals.
