BC CSU Sibiu is a Romanian professional basketball club, based in Sibiu, Romania. The club competes in the Liga Națională, winning the championship in 1995 and 1999. The home arena is Transilvania Hall, a 1850-seat arena in Sibiu.
History
In the 2017–18 season, Sibiu made its European debut in the FIBA Europe Cup. In the first qualifying round, it was eliminated by Pardubice, losing both legs.
CSU Sibiu to rumuński klub koszykarski z siedzibą w mieście Sybin. Drużyna została założona w 1993 roku i obecnie występuje w pierwszej lidze rumuńskiej Divizia A.
CSU Sibiu jest jednym z najbardziej utytułowanych klubów w historii rumuńskiej koszykówki. Zespół dwukrotnie zdobywał mistrzostwo kraju (2000, 2015), a także trzykrotnie Puchar Rumunii (2008, 2009, 2010).
W ostatnich latach CSU Sibiu regularnie występuje w europejskich pucharach. W sezonie 2015/2016 zespół dotarł do półfinału FIBA Europe Cup, a w sezonie 2017/2018 do ćwierćfinału tej samej imprezy.
Głównymi gwiazdami CSU Sibiu są obecnie reprezentanci Rumunii: Vlad Moldoveanu i Mihai Polonara. Trenerem zespołu jest Gheorghe Danciu.
